After dinner, my husband and I were attempting to leave. My husband is 80 years old and uses a walker. He was trying to open the door and hold on to his walker at the same time. Sitting right inside the front door, doing nothing, was a young, able bodied young man who Never moved a muscle to help him. I was finally able to squeeze through and get the door for him. As I went by, I turned to him and said thank you for helping with the door. A group of women behind us helped with the second door and said they couldn’t believe that the young man didn’t help him. I was very upset by his lack of consideration. I came home and called the manager and told him what happened. I told him the young man needed to be taught some customer etiquette. He actually defended the young man and said that I should have asked for help making it our fault. Excuse me, but when you see that someone needs a little help, the considerate thing to do is to help. The manager then proceeded to lecture me about the younger generation and would not let me talk. He was getting very unfriendly and said I hope you will come back. I said no and hung up. I will never go back.
Recently visited here. We came the following week for the first time and had a great experience so we decided to visit again. The waitress was Lydia and she forgot to even ring in our appetizer. We received our burgers and still no wings. My wife asked to speak with a manager and he told her she forgot to ring them in due to a large party. We only seen her when we arrived and when she dropped off our drinks. It wasn’t even busy! We were the only table on the deck. Such a disappointment since we brought our friends along because we had a great experience last week. Their bill was wrong as well and didn’t get drink refills.
Drink, food, atmosphere, staff, and management all top notch. You can never go wrong at Barnaby's Aston. Great outside bar on the deck, especially when the weather is nice. Whether you are looking for a spot to drop in and grab a drink or go out to dinner, highly recommend going to Barnaby's Aston.
Food is all right, unless their busy...than its kinda sub par. Crowd is a bunch of hipster college kids. So if you rock a man bun, then definitely take your tinder date here....bro. but, if your a notmal human being then, maybe, turn around. Especially if the decks crowded. Because if their on the deck...there's no where to have a meal inside.
The bar was packed as it was during March Madness when we visited. However the burgers were great and service was superb. They have specials during the week and Sundays. There are lots of food and drink options in their menu. I would visit again.
