Schuylkill County Fair has been rooted in the community for 31 years.The Schuylkill County Fair is an all-volunteer organization and has been working diligently on this year's fair since the end of last year's fair. The hard work as usual is sure to bring new activities, demonstrations, competitions, exhibits and entertainment to this year's fair.
Some of the new happenings at this year's SCF include a new amusement ride company - Goodtimes Amusement out of Hellertown, PA with twenty rides and 15 game and food trailers.

New engaging activities include at the fair include Ag Detective, Story Time, Master Gardeners, and historical walk with Mark Major.

New demonstrations may be found on Bear Creek Island. Bear Creek Island is a plot of land found behind the main stage accessible by a foot bridge. Bear Creek Island has been reconditioned and will host a number of interactive demonstrations that include fly fishing and muzzle loader demonstrations along with Indian Lore with Big Owl.
New entertainment include but are not inclusive are Shake Rattle Soul, Tom Marchetto Show, Jesse Wade Gang, and Muttville Comix, Exile, Branon Bennett - Elvis Ultimate Elvis, Hybrid Ice, John Cafferty and Michael Antune of the Beaver Brown Band, Kevin Chalfant's Journey Experience . Speaking of entertainment, SCF is digging into its roots and are show casing Schuylkill talent in the Schuylkill Talent Showcase. The following performers will be found on the indoor stage: McCormic School of Irish Dance, Richie Cappel, Conner Stashel, Maudie Becker, Brook Unger, and M. B. Gymnastics.

Unique to Schuylkill County are native celebrities participating in one of two contests designed just for them. These include the Celebrity Livestock Showman Competition and the Celebrity Tractor Pull. Pulling did you say. Yes, the truck and tractor pulls will have a new twist this year. First there are new classes of stock and modified diesel and gas pullers. Second, the nights for pulling are now Monday and Tuesday. Third a new sled from Crouse Sled Rental out of Newville, PA will be used.
