About Us

The Pennsylvania Military Museum was dedicated by the State Historical and Museum Commission to preserve history and educate, as well as honor this state's "Citizen soldier." Commemoration to the men and women of all branches of service is the museum's focus. Significant "homefront" efforts of the citizens are highlighted from the early French and Indian War through more recent conflicts of Vietnam and Desert Storm. It is administered by the
Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. Highlights range from a full-scale replica of a World War I trench battlefield, displayed uniforms and weapons along with their narrative histories and renovated military equipment.A gift shop is located within the museum facility.

Excellent museum with perfect emphasis on Pennsylvania's military service personnel. Great exhibits, and lots of historical artifacts. We'll worth the time.

Great place to feel history and to get a local glimpse of the impact of war and sacrifice. Interesting monuments and great area for picnics and family limited access days.

Such a great resource for learning about the States long, illustrious military history. With very low admission rates and plenty of information packed exhibits there is a lot of value to a visit. They offer guided and unguided tours, so you can choose how you want to experience the museum. If you happen to attend during a special event, which is pretty easy to do since they run lots of them throughout the year, then your experience can be all the more enjoyable. They of course have a gift shop if that is your cup of tea.

Such a neat museum. Lots of jeeps. Presentation is fun as it brings you through war logistics.

My grand children love it here. Every time we go to State College we must go. You can go through the indoor portion quickly if you like or take your time. The outside tanks and the grounds are a big hit as well.
