I went there with my mom and my sister. The train station will take you back in time, there are plenty of souvenir shops which have a variety of curious gifts to buy for your loved ones. We had a fantastic time, we enjoyed the beautiful views, the story about the railway and the surrounding areas. The wine and cheese tray gave our train ride a fabulous touch (wine and cheese tray are bought inside the train and are not included on the train ride tickets price, but it's super cheap and delicious). The price is absolutely worth it. We were lucky to be there on a day which was not crowded, so we got lucky and saw the coupling, pretty interesting and super fun to watch!!

The town is located in Lancaster County, PA where is already full of interesting things to see, delicious food to eat and plenty different things to buy. There are not many places you can ride on steam locomotives. This is one of them that you can still enjoy the ride. I live in DC area. It's a perfect one day trip destination for kids as well as for adults. If you like antiques, there are few nice antique stores are quite worth to visit.

Take your kids here, take your parents here, take your friends here, take anyone you know here because they will love this place. Ride in an old classic but beautiful steam engine train, experience history with your own eyes! There is also a mini train for kids to ride on as well. I suggest you go on the open cart because then you can really feel the wind on your face while looking outside. The whole train ride takes about 45 minutes, so it's definitely worth it!

What an enjoyable experience and well worth the time and ticket prices. All staff were kind, courteous, friendly and helpful. We were so impressed with the restoration of the old trains, we road the parlor. Gorgeous! Loved the warmth of the coal stove. If the weather is not very warm or rainy, do not hesitate to head here because the heat and comfort on the train is wonderful. They share historical and comical details as the train pushes down the track. The museaum across the street is a delight as well. What a great time for all ages!

The main building is full of unique and beautiful trains, and is complemented by the ability to actually go on a train ride using a steam locomotive. There isn't much in the way of food but the staff is friendly and the place is in beautiful repair. It's a wonderful site to see if you enjoy history, engineering, or a nostalgic view.
