Overlook Community Park, located off Fruitville Pike in Manheim Township, has developed several acres into a Dog Park that includes separate fenced-in areas for large dogs (30 + lbs.), small dogs, and a common area for activities. This is a great place where your dog can run off the leash and play in a large fenced-in area during daylight hours.
The Manheim Township Dog Owners Group (MTDOG) was formed to make this the best park possible. Our mission is to provide a safe, friendly area where dogs can exercise and play, and dog owners can meet, to improve our sense of community.
To keep the community of dogs and people as healthy as possible, the dogs must be current on DA2PP, Bordetella (kennel cough), and Rabies vaccines. They also must have a current dog license (any state is allowed). We strongly recommend that they be given a monthly intestinal deworming medication. Most monthly heartworm preventatives also prevent and treat intestinal parasites, and therefore fulfill this recommendation. This reduces the potential for contamination of the park.
