My husband took me here for Christmas and it was beautiful! They serve hot chocolate and, more importantly, hot toddies on the outdoor trails. The indoor display is vast and impressive. I was dazzled from the floating art garden to the massive succulent Christmas trees. After our tour we capped the evening off with a fabulous dinner in their restaurant. Photographed here are our two desserts: the flowerpot and candied apple.

Beautiful gardens!! We went in the winter, and cannot wait to visit again when it is warmer and more flowers are in bloom. It is fairly reasonably priced, though the cafe is on the pricier end. There are tree houses that kids and adults love! Lots of fun activities and room to run. We visited with a 4 year old and 18 month old with no issues - they loved seeing all the different flowers and playing at the tree houses. We will definitely return!

Always a joy to visit and I love that there are different events all year round. Most recently went to see the orchids and winter blues display. We came at the tail end, so I think some of the orchid displays may have already been taken down as there were a lot more last year when we went earlier (moral: don't wait for the last weekend of the orchids). In any case, it's truly a fantastic place to visit in any season, really. The cafe also has good food and you can buy beer/wine (they have a stand that sells draft beers, though check opening hours)--husband was much happier wandering the gardens with a beer in hand.

Not a long drive from Baltimore for such a beautiful experience. The gardens, topiaries, fountains and floral displays are all gorgeous. Rena' Marie, a featured jazz artist was also amazing in the theater just inside the beautiful floral atrium. Dozens of restrooms are down a beautiful hall of vined walls and are the size of a small bedroom (had to mention that.... Its a site to see and experience - pictured). Every staff member we encountered was extremely helpful, courteous and very nice. I look forward to returning soon. A.V.

A visit to Longwood Gardens always leaves me feeling as if I have been on vacation. The Conservatory transports me to multiple warm, scenic venues on cold or rainy days. I can imagine myself in a tropical paradise, a manicured country garden or a desert oasis. Can't wait for the flower walk in the spring, the cool woodland path in the summer and the meadow in the fall. And nobody does Christmas like Longwood. Love, love, love this place.
