About Us:

Starting in 1981, as one of the Downtown Carlisle Association's first events, the Harvest of the Arts festival drew thousands to Carlisle. The new arts and crafts festival boasted 50 arts and crafts booths along with local churches and organizations.

In the mid-90's the event was moved to October and teamed with area tuba enthusiasts. The name changed to "Octubafest." Maturing from outdoor music performances to indoor, and changing from a juried art show to a craft show, Octubafest ran until 2010.

In order to compete with regional art shows and draw a larger crowd, Octubafest changed back to its' orginal name and date. Harvest of the Arts is held on the last Saturday of September and has become one the largest juried arts and fine crafts shows in Central PA. Working with the Yellow Breeches PA Guild of Craftsmen, Harvest of the Arts strives to bring in the highest quality of artists and craftsmen annually.
