Hamlin Park

Hamlin Lake Park is located in Smethport’s center. Named after the Hamlin family who donated the land for its usage as a park, the area was redeveloped following the damage left by Hurricane Agnes in 1972. Today, the lake is again being studied for further development by Smethport Borough.

Nice to bring your kids to play on the playground, taking walks, fishing, looking at the ducks and geese, having picnics and just to sit and relax and take in the scenery!

Very nice area for the community and surrounding areas. Well maintained facilities on either side of park. Pavilions for use or renting for impromptu or planned gathering. Small boat launch needs some updating but still functional for kayaks or canoes. Easy access for fishing from banks.
