Forge Theatre is in its 48th Season of bringing live theatre to the community. As with many community theatres, we wandered about without a home for the first several years of our existence. In the early 1970s, we acquired the former F.B. Neiman and Sons Funeral Home. After some significant remodeling, the building at 241 First Avenue in Phoenixville became our permanent home beginning in our twelfth season.
Our theatre comprises a wide, ever-expanding range of talent from former professionals to everyday people who all share a love of theatre. In addition to Forge's six annual productions, we promote community service and education. Our performances range from classic to contemporary, musical to non-musical, comedy to drama. We also have a Summer Youth Program, our Kids show, dedicated to educating and showcasing our younger members. Occasionally, we offer special shows like a night of improv or one-acts, the annual Relay for Life Benefit Cabaret, or a staged reading of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."
