Chocolate and Wine Festival

The History of the Festival:

The concept of a community wine walk began with a dream shared between the creative and motivated individuals in Montrose to offer a new weekend event. During 2007, several Susquehanna County wineries began to present chocolate truffles by Chocolates By Leopold flavored with their best wines. This classic pairing of chocolate and wine encouraged the inclusion of wine in what was then called the Montrose Chocolate and Wine Festival.

After 12 years and raising over $280,000 for the county, the Montrose Chocolate and Wine Festival organizers announced they would transition event coordination to the United Way of Susquehanna County. The event is a perfect fit for United Way of Susquehanna County, which is focused on helping children, families, and the entire regional community. In 2022 the Montrose Chocolate and Wine Festival developed into the Montrose Wine Walk to help incorporate local businesses in downtown Montrose, PA, into the event.
