Explore Wildwood Park’s treasured wetlands for our 24th Annual Wetlands Festival! Join us for a day of free, fun, and educational activities with special musical guests and food trucks. Enjoy wildlife exhibits, walks, and a wide variety of local and regional environmental organizations. Interact with live animals and make crafts to take home! There is something for everyone! This festival is rain or shine!

Story Time
10:30 am and 11:30 am in the Nature Center Classroom

Join local author and educator Jennifer Fetter for story time and an outdoor adventure. She will be reading from her new book, Brooke Meets a Stream Doctor, and then taking listeners on a short hike to explore the outdoors just as Brooke does in the story.

Guided Walk Schedule: meet in front of the Nature Center

8:00 am: Bird Walk with Glenn Mitzel
Join Appalachian Audubon and Wildwood Park Volunteer, Glenn Mitzel, to search for unique birds along the park’s boardwalks.

10:30 am: Mega Hike with KTA
Join Keystone Trails Association Executive Director, Brook Lenker, to hike ~4 miles of trails at Wildwood, including the lesser traveled Fox Run and Tall Timbers Trails.

1:00 pm: Wildflower Walk with Jane Earle
Join Wildwood Park Volunteer, Jane Earle, for a short walk to learn all about what’s blooming in the park.

2:00 pm: Tree Walk with a naturalist
Join a naturalist for a short walk to learn about tree identification and the species you can find at Wildwood Park.

Parking:
Additional parking is available nearby at HACC. Follow the signs to the designated parking area. Please walk the Capital Area Greenbelt trail to the festival (0.7 mile walk).

New: A shuttle will be offered throughout the day between the HACC lots and the Nature Center. Please follow signs for pick-up times.
