Music in the Gardens: River City Brass is the Headliner

Partnering with The Arboretum at Penn State, Penn’s Woods Music Festival presents an AFTERNOON of music performed outdoors in the Garden Rooms and on the Event Lawn of the H.O. Smith Botanic Gardens. Concertgoers are encouraged to arrive early, place your chairs or blankets on the Event Lawn, and then explore the beautiful gardens with musicians tucked throughout the gardens. The River City Brass Band will be our featured ensemble at the pavilion. Beginning at 1:00 p.m. before returining to the Event Lawn for the 2:00 p.m. concert, PW4KIDS will have special concert in the Children’s Garden for the younger concert goers while cellist Jon Dexter and flutist Ashley Shank are tucked into other garden rooms. Please do not bring picnic baskets or beverages to the concert. We encourage you to visit the Arboretum’s Visitor Information site to learn about the gardens and the policies that help keep the grounds beautiful and safe.
