Join us for the One Hundred Nights of Taps, Gettysburg, 2023, summer program season's opening ceremony.
For the seventh year, beginning on Memorial Day and running through Labor Day, the notes of “Taps” will once more fill the air every evening as the famous 24-note call is sounded in Gettysburg National Cemetery.
The Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania and Gettysburg National Military Park are co-sponsors for One Hundred Nights of Taps, Gettysburg, in partnership with Taps for Veterans and Gettysburg’s Licensed Battlefield Guides.
There will be patriotic music provided by the wonderfully talented buglers under the direction of Taps for Veterans, Jari Villanueva.
Guest speakers include, Michelle A. Krowl, the Civil War and Reconstruction specialist in the Manuscript Division at the Library of Congress, retired Lieutenant General Christopher F. Burne, USAF, who was the 17th Judge Advocate General of the Air Force, Mayor Rita Frealing, Superintendent Steven Sims, and Ranger Christopher Gwinn, Chief of Interpretation and Education.
