Memorial Day Ceremony

Join us at Post 518 for our annual Memorial Day Ceremony.

The speaker this year is Alexander Harry! Alex is from Shade Gap, PA and is a 2010 graduate from Southern Huntingdon County High School. Following graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, Alex was commissioned as an Engineer Officer in 2014. His notable assignments include: Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for the 541st Sapper Company at Fort Knox, Kentucky; Battalion Operations Officer and Company Commander in 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment at Fort Hood, Texas. Alex is also a graduate of the Engineer Basic Officer Leadership Course & Engineer Captions Career Course (Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri), and Bradley Leader Course (Fort Benning, Georgia). From 2019-2020, Alex deployed to Lithuania in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. Alex served over 8 years and released from Active Duty as a Captain in 2022.
